It was a Friday and Shake, Greg, Onyot, Edd and I were on our way to a newly opened Thai restaurant in St. Patrick Square, Luk Thai. We were invited by owner/manager Tom, who by the way is a good family friend of ours. We were welcomed by Tom and Ate Senya(Tom's Sister) while Chef Anton Alcazar was at the kitchen preparing food for the guests who booked the entire 2nd floor.

FYI: Chef Anton Alcaraz is Kris Aquino’s favorite Thai Chef! It was his amazing Authentic Thai taste that made his cuisine a hit and made Kris Aquino and her family fallen in love over his dishes.

The dinner kicked off with servings of appetizers and soup. Am a big Thai streetfood freak! And one of my fave Thai streetfood is Poh Pia Todd/Porpia Tod (Price:130php) or Thai Spring Rolls. Luk Thai's version of thai spring rolls comprises of vegetables and vermicceli with ground pork rounded up into rolls.

Tod Grathiam Prig Thai Meuk (Price:130php) is one of Luk Thai guests' Favorites! I personally loved this one too. Fried Galic and Peppered Squid deep fried to perfection!

We had Tom Yam Goong (Price: Small Size:240/Large: 370) for our soup. Hot and sour noodle soup with lemon grass, herbs, spices and shrimps.

For our main course, we were served with Kris Aquino's Fave dishes and Luk Thai's Signature dishes! We had Khao Phad Sapparod or Pineapple fried rice(Price: Small: 160php/ Large:230php).

We had Pla Khao Throng Kreung(Price: 330php) which is one of Luk Thai's Signature dishes and another Luk Thai Guests' Fave! Fried standing Lapu-lapu fish with sweet and sour tamarind sauce.

Khai Yat Sai Moo Sab (Price: 105php) or diced pork omelet is Thai's version of our "Filipino Tortang Baboy."

Sikrong Moo Todd (Price: 190php) or Fried Pork Spare Ribs, is semi sweet, semi chili tender ribs that's delectably good!
Phad Pakboong Fai Dang (Price: 75php) would be one of my Luk Thai Faves! Stir fried Kang Kong in Oyster sauce tasted great!

After a very heavy meal, pig as we are, we still had room for dessert! hehehe. Bpaaeng Mammuang (Price: 80php) is made of fresh yellow mango puree with tapioca topped with ice cream. Though the puree was a little bit sour, we found out that it's great to mix the ice cream with the puree, totally complements!

Tab Tim Grob (Price: 60php), crunchy water chestnuts with macapuno strips in coco cream.

And another Luk Thai Favorite of mine is Khao Neaw Mammuang(Price: 85php). Sticky Rice topped with coco cream with ripe mangoes.

Piktyur piktyur with management!

Mga Kapigouts!
