Brasco Pizza and Pasta

Restaurant: Brasco Pizza and Pasta
Address: The Gallery San Jose dela Montana Mabolo Cebu City
Restaurant Type: Casual Dining
Food: American, Italian
Mode of Payment: Cash
Telephone Number: 5057924/5114018

Brian Espina's fondness for pizza made him decide to open up his own pizzeria place . Liking the pizza he had on a trip to Italy inspired him to create his own pizza recipes infused with American flavors. 5 years of planning and finally Brian had launched his own pizza place he named "Brasco" meaning Brian's aspirations and dreams. Coming from a family who had been successful in the food business (Espinas own MyJoy and Butterbean), Brian had all the advice and admonitions he can get to make it big in the food business. An invitation to foretaste Brasco's food was sent for me and Regina of CDN inline with their grand launching.

Brasco Pizza and Pasta wants their customers to feel at home and warm when dining. Freedom Frames are even situated on the wall where customers can write what they think about the resto.

Pasta with tomatoes and Aligue(Price: 138php) was served first. Al dente Pasta in Tomato Sauce and crab roe. This reminded me of my Lola's cooking who loves putting "taba ng talangka" on her garlic rice. That explains my high triglyceride level! LOL. Dish was fairly priced for a crab roe dish. Next on the tasting spree was Meaty Spaghetti with Pepperoni (Price: 147php). Al dente pasta in tomato sauce and Italian sausage.

Pizza! We had 10inch of Marinara and Brasco Pizza. Brasco Pizza(10inch Price: 230php) is made of freshly tossed thin crust topped with tomatoes, mozarella cheese, bacon, ham, pepperoni, sausage and Brasco meatballs. Marinara Pizza (10inch Price: 259php), is made of freshly tossed thin crust, tomato sauce, mozarella cheese, squid, shrimp and crab roe. Best enjoyed when hot.

And finally, La Marea's brownie cup has been dethroned as my fave warm brownie cup! hehe. "Brasco Crazy Bliss" is made of Butterbean "Crazy Brownie" topped with Brasco's "Chewier Vanilla Ice Cream!" A must try! Priced at 90php!

Brasco Pizza and Pasta accepts deliveries within Cebu City with a minimum purchase of 14" pizza. Three available pizza sizes 10"(Price range 119php-259php), 14"(Price range 230php-431php) and 20"(Price range 440php-812php).

I also loved these!

Wasn't really gaga over the dessert selection though.

I tried their specialty cocktails! I must say that they're preeeeetty good!

Manila Special: Fish & Co.

Restaurant: Fish & Co.
Branch: Mall of Asia Pasay City
Food: American (Seafood, desserts, smoothies)
Restaurant Type: Casual Dining
Mode of Payment: Cash/Card

Our 5j flight just landed at Centennial Airport and the hour travel just made my appetite rapacious. Briskly walking, we grabbed our checked in baggage and hopped on an Airport cab. It was a sluggish morning, which made my hunger even worst, as our friendly Ilonggo Cab driver jaunted to Mall of Asia. Lunch at Fish & Co!

For starters we had Fried Calamari(Price: 405php). Pepper Crunchy Calamari Rings!

For my entree, I ordered Soft Shell Crab Pasta(Price: 285php). Spaghetti Noodles in olive oil sprinkled with garlic and parsley topped with a soft shell crab. It was good , but the Soft Shell Crab Pasta I ordered in The Coffee Club Singapore was way better! And look how tiny the Fish & Co Soft Shell Crab on top of the Pasta! hehehe. So cute! LOL.

Fish & Co. recommends Apple Lychee Shake with The Soft Shell Crab. Me likey! (Price: 80php)

Fish & Co. Classic, Fish & Chips! A huge Fish Fish Fillet fried and topped with Lemon Butter Sauce served with fries. (Price: 405php). I nibbled on a little portion of this(am not a fan of big fish dish) and taste like fish! hehehe

And I have to commend the waitresses of Fish & Co. MOA! They're very attentive, warm and very courteous! Very close to fine dining service! And the complimentary mints called "EndearMINTS" was chewy and aperitive!

Manila Special: Claw Daddy

Restaurant: Claw Daddy
Branch: 5th Avenue Bonifacio Global City , Taguig, Philippines
Restaurant Type: Casual Dining
Food: Seafood, Crabs, Pizza (American)
Phone Number: 63 02 856 4785
Mode of Payment: Cash/Card

3pm had past and we were craving for a good chow and looking for a bleak place in Bonifacio High Street to cool down. It was pretty humid and it was a populous day at Serendra. Our throats are as dry as dust as the stifling Bonifacio High was brimful due to events held that day.

Luckily(or so we thought), Clawdaddy was uncrowded. We then settled in a table near the AC and ordered. I have to say that for a resto who is more than half empty, the service was kinda vile. When we were ready to order, it took us around 4-5minutes to get someone to take our orders. We ordered Pepperoni Pizza and Barbeque Chicken Pizza (not sure with the exact names though since the receipt was not given to me) and we all had shakes to sate our parched throats.

Pepperoni Pizza (square pizza sliced into 6) was a so-so pizza. The crust was thin and crispy though which I dote on. The second pizza was Barbeque Pizza which was good , a little spiced like a hickory BBQ. But I am guessing pizza is not their specialty. ; )

I ordered Grape Shake! It is commendable but when you order request to put less sugar, mine was a little too sweet but it was alright. Roma Mia's Grape Shake was better for me though.

We then asked the waiter to have our leftovers for take out and asked for the bill (which took us another 5 minutes) . I paid with my credit card which by the way was left there. So much for a bad dining experience. hahahaha. But in candor with Claw daddy, the place was cozy and nice.

Port Seafood and Restaurant

Restaurant: Port Seafood and Restaurant
Address: Waterfront Lahug Cebu City
Food: Mixed Ethnic(Filipino, American, Etc)
Restaurant Type: Buffet
Type of Payment: Cash/Card

It was past 10pm and we haven't had dinner yet knowing we were invited by Mr. & Mrs.Hayco (owners of the resto) for the opening of their midnight buffet! Kara, Edd, Greg, E and I arrived at 10:30pm at the Waterfront hotel and took us another 15minutes to find for a parking space. wheeeew! But we were treated with a buffet so drivers E and I didn't whine. hehehe. Midnight Buffet is priced at 190php.

I love their siomai, green mango and their bagoong!

Pasta and Crepe Bar! hehehe. The crepes looked great, too bad their crepe tasted like pancakes. But with the low buffet price, the buffet was worth it!

Entertainment! Live band played when we were eating. And after their first set, a special number was presented by Mr. and Ms. Hayco's daughter.

After spending 29SGD on the 30minute Singapore Flyer Ride, I was hogging for some chicken and good thing there's a Popeye Branch on the SG Flyer Arcade. My first ever Popeye Experience was 3 years ago in Hong Kong International Airport and since then I get to crave for those huge and tender chicken strips! So I make it a point that before leaving Hong Kong I eat at Popeye's. Popeye's Chicken is cheap yet servings are huge and the taste is not bad at all. You can get your money's worth! For a meal of 5 chicken strips, Fries, drink and a bread you only pay SGD 6.95/239.75php which is affordable considering everything in Singapore is poshly priced. : )

Singapore Special: Tony Roma's

Restaurant: Tony Roma's
Branch: 3 Temasek Blvd. #B1-007 Suntec City Mall Singapore
Food: American (Ribs, steaks, etc)
Mode of Payment: Cash/Card
Restaurant Type: Casual Dining

A North Miami brand, Tony Roma is famous for their baby back ribs which have won lots of awards over the years.

The meal started with complimentary Bread sticks with garlic butter spread. We ordered Onion Loaf, giant hand-cut Spanish onions, breaded, deep fried and served with our house BBQ dipping sauce. We also had the Tony's Sampler; a trio of appetizers - Red Hot Buffalo Wings, Spinach Dip and our signature Onion Loaf matched with Blue cheese dressing, salsa, sour cream and our house BBQ dipping sauce.

Baby Back Ribs basted with Tony Roma's Original Sauce or you choice of sauce. I didn't enjoy the food at Tony Roma's considering it was a pricey slab of ribs (though it was another treat by my host, Neiloy, hehehehe). Would prefer Casa Verde's Ribs over this slab.

And another suggestion that Neil made was Ginger beer, a soda which tasted like Sprite but better.

Before heading to the Merlion's den, I grabbed some lunch at Mo's Burger. Mo's Burger is a Japanese owned brand which was inspired by Los Angeles Burger Chain called "Tommy's." Mo's owner Mr. Sakurada had brought his burger inspiration to Japan and added his own Japanese twists to the burgers.

I ordered the Teriyaki Chicken set(Price: 6.95sgd/239.78php); freshly grilled chicken on a soft bun with yummy teriyaki sauce side dished with Mo's potato fries and regular softdrink which came with a Free Uchiwa!!!! I got a charge out of the fresh and juicy burger which I totally enjoyed!

One of Singapore's Best Gourmet Food and Coffee shops, "The Coffee Club" has continuously been receiving awards for their dishes. Another restaurant recommendation by Neil, we headed to Clarke Quay for a late dinner at the Clark Quay Branch of "The Coffee Club."

I ordered the "Captain Crunch" (Price: SGD15.90/548.55php) which came with a free Fruit shake. A delightfully crispy oat-crusted soft shelled crab in a bed of linguine drenched in a luscious black pepper sauce. It was just heavenly! The crisp oat-crust exalts the taste of the tender soft shell crab.

Neil ordered the "Baked Spice Rice Paradise" (Price: SGD15.50/534.75php). Garlic Chicken Fillets marinated in exotic blend of herbs and spices in a bed lemon grass infused rice topped with gooey Parmesan and mozzarella cheese which I also sampled and enjoyed.

The fruit shake were made from real fruits. I can nibble on tidbits of fruits on the shake which was really good!

And for dessert, we had the Muddy Mud Pie! Enter chocolate nirvana with The Coffee Club signature dessert. Luxuriously smooth cappuccino and chocolate ice cream on an Oreo Crumb base under ribbons of warm fudge! Now suspiring for a muddy mud pie! raaaawr!
